Tabwell is a browser extension that saves your Chrome work sessions locally on your device and restores them to a new Chrome window later. In addition to windows, tab order, and pinned tabs, it also records tab group names, colors, and collapsed states as snapshots.
Snapshots are saved in IndexedDB within the browser, and no Tabwell account is required. Any diagnostic features are off by default.
Even after the 14-day Pro trial ends with no credit card registration required, you can continue using the free version. The free version includes the latest 5 snapshots, manual save and restore, JSON export, and automatic snapshots at 60-minute intervals.
We created this for those who use tab groups to organize research, development, and multiple projects, and want to resume work later with the full context intact.
