File Auto-Organization and Rename Tool

Overview

A local-first web productivity tool that automatically classifies large numbers of files by filename, extension, modification date, size, keywords, and custom rules, and can rename them in bulk.

Key Features

Rule Set Storage and Reuse
Create organization rules that occur monthly using the GUI and save them as Rule Sets. For the next file organization, simply select the saved rule to repeat the same process.

Safe Dry Run
Always execute a Dry Run before running, and confirm Before / After states. Files will not be overwritten if conflicts exist.

Flexible Rename Functionality

• Add prefix / suffix
• Sequential numbering (001, 002, 003, etc.)
• Character replacement, deletion, and case conversion
• Free naming using template variables ({date}, {original}, {extension}, {number}, etc.)

Automatic Classification

• By extension (PDF → Documents, JPG → Images, etc.)
• Keyword detection ("Invoice", "Contract", etc.)
• By date folder (2026/01, 2026/02, etc.)
• By file size

Analysis Dashboard
Display file count, statistics by extension, size range analysis, duplicate candidates, and conflict count in a list. You can also check the Folder Tree after organization.

Duplicate Detection
Narrow down candidates by filename and size, and for files 100 MB or smaller, calculate SHA-256 hash within the browser for high-precision duplicate detection.

Demo Mode
Even without selecting actual files, you can try rule creation through post-organization structure in a fictional Downloads folder.

Data Processing Policy

All file content, metadata, and hash value calculations are executed within the browser. Only Rule Sets and settings are saved to localStorage; file bodies are not saved. Original files are never modified, and the organized ZIP is downloaded.
