I'm developing a service called Bamboo Talk as a personal project.
I've always enjoyed creating things, and I've built several web services so far.
Among them, I wanted to create a service that I myself would want to use, so I started developing Bamboo Talk.
Initially, I intended to make it a much smaller service.
However, as I actually built it, I started thinking:
"If I'm going to build this much, I want to make something that a team can actually use."
And so the features gradually increased.
Chat, tasks, decisions, calendar, files, AI—before I knew it, I had built quite a lot of features.
To be honest, building everything by myself as an individual was quite challenging.
Specifically, if I'm just creating the appearance, I can make something that looks like it works. But when I think about actually having people use it, I need to pay considerable attention to things that aren't visible on the surface—authentication, permissions, data management, and so on.
For example, even if people are in the same Workspace, I can't make everything they can do identical.
It would be problematic if anyone could finalize decisions, and it absolutely cannot be the case that data from another team becomes visible.
I'm building it while thinking through these kinds of issues one by one.
Recently, many people use it from smartphones, so I spent considerable time on the mobile UI as well.
At first, I thought I could just shrink the PC screen, but when I actually tried it, it was completely different.
Button placement, information density on the screen, ease of input—there are many parts where it's more usable to think from scratch for smartphones.
There are still areas for improvement, but gradually it feels like it's moving from "something I made" toward "a service that someone uses."
Also, I'm planning to formally add a feature called Bamboo Board.
I want it to be a place where teams and individuals using Bamboo Talk can introduce their projects and find people willing to collaborate.
Rather than ending with just project management, I think it would be interesting if Bamboo Talk could become a service where users connect with each other.
The user base is still small, and it's a service for the future.
Still, since I'm making it as a personal project, I want to build it to the point where I truly feel I want to use it.
If you think "I might actually use a service like this," please definitely try it out.

Bamboo Talk
Bamboo Talk
