When you work as a team, there's definitely that moment that happens at least once, right? When you're talking on Slack or Chatwork, things you've already decided on keep getting pushed down the chat, and before you know it, nobody remembers them. And then you've got files like designv2final lined up three times over, and you can't tell which one is the real one.
I created Bamboo Talk to eliminate that. It's a small team-focused AI workspace with bamboo as its motif.
Video circles at universities, indie game dev teams, doujin circles, robotics competition teams doing electronics, and people doing home recording and DTM. Basically, for small teams of around 3-20 people who think "Slack is too rigid, but just using the flowing chat of LINE or Discord means decisions get lost," you know? On the flip side, Notion and Jira are too feature-rich and have high input costs, so nobody ends up updating them anyway—I deliberately didn't design it that way.
There's an AI called SASA that watches the conversation in the chat, and when it detects words like "let's decide" or "let's go with this," it quietly offers a card saying "I can organize this." This is something I put subtle care into—SASA absolutely never decides things on its own. It only makes proposals, and it's non-negotiable that humans are the ones who make things FINAL. I'm most scared of AI going rogue and automatically confirming tasks on its own.
The way progress is displayed is also unified with the bamboo metaphor—as the project advances, the color gets darker with each node (stage). The color doesn't change in a continuous gradient; I deliberately made it change in steps, because when you actually see it, the feeling of "oh, it's growing" is completely different.
As for the problem of temporary files proliferating, there's a feature called Draft-Picker where SASA suggests "these seem like the same candidates," and when humans confirm, a FINAL badge gets attached. Other rejected files and such are automatically moved to Bamboo Stock, and they disappear after 7 days, so your latest file list doesn't get cluttered.
The thing I wouldn't compromise on was "not making it a surveillance tool." Active status displays are subtly a source of stress—there are even browser extensions to make it look like you're always online—so I made it so users can choose whether to show their Active status to "everyone/team only/hidden," and even admins can't forcibly change it. For notifications, I absolutely didn't want to do that provocative "999 unread" display. Important stuff comes through immediately, and everything else gets bundled into a single daily digest.
Honestly, I went through PDCA cycles over 100 times to get here. laughs
There were moments when my heart almost broke. Still, at least I got it into shape up to Ver1.0, so if you're interested, feel free to check it out.
Even with the free version, decisions and knowledge stay permanently, and it's built so you can use the basic features, so there's no harm in trying it out.
