iCloud shared album burst photo collapse viewer for smooth scrolling to the end

About 4 min readmekkemonAfter a trip, shared albums get filled with burst shots and retakes of the same scene, and scrolling doesn't get you anywhere. But selecting the best single photo or removing duplicates is a hassle, so you end up leaving it as is and stop looking back at it.
mekkemon is a viewer that groups similar photos together and displays only the single best shot. It doesn't touch the original photos at all, and all analysis happens inside your iPhone.
It's not an app you'll open every day. But when you do open it, you might stumble upon a photo you'd even forgotten you took. That's where the name comes from. My shared album hit the 5000-photo limit and moved to a second album, making it impossible to find things, so I made this.
Requires iOS 18 or later. Needs iCloud shared albums and full access to photos.
¥300 one-time purchase on the App Store (no in-app purchases).
