Wind the crank, look through the viewfinder, wait for your film to develop
Hi, I'm the solo developer behind DKsequence. DKCAM is a film camera app for people who would rather shoot slowly than see every shot instantly.
Load a roll, turn the crank to wind the film, then look through the viewfinder and set the shutter speed, aperture and ISO yourself. When the roll is finished, send it to the lab: your negatives come out 6 hours later, and the prints arrive 6 hours after that.
■ What makes it different
· The shutter stays locked until you wind the crank — every frame counts
· Analog dials (shutter 1/30–1/1000 · aperture f/2–f/16 · ISO 100–3200) with a light meter needle
· Get the exposure wrong and the photo comes out darker or brighter — you only find out after developing
· 20 DKfilm stocks (color, black & white, slide, special), 24 or 36 exposures each
· A notification at each lab step; negatives and prints can both be saved to your gallery
· Photos are stored only on your device
■ Good for you if
· you miss the feel of a film camera
· you're tired of instant edit-and-post photos
· you want travel and everyday shots that are worth waiting for
