Nice to meet you. I am Masakatsu, a sacred art painter. I usually paint images of Kannon and Buddhist deities, but I also have another side as the director of a project called Renka-dō.
Renka-dō is a portal site that directly confronts the various "difficulties in living" that people face in modern times and helps solve them. App development is one of those activities. We aim to deliver the traditional culture and wisdom of the heart of Japan to daily life in digital form.
Hitotose — Twenty-Four Solar Terms and Seventy-Two Seasonal Divisions
Seasons change their appearance little by little without our noticing. Based on the ancient Japanese calendar wisdom of the twenty-four solar terms and seventy-two seasonal divisions, this is a lifestyle app designed to help you pay attention to the subtle changes in each day.
Yomu Yomu — Difficult Kanji Reading Test
An app where you can enjoy learning difficult kanji readings in quiz format, from beginner to advanced levels. I hope people will be able to experience the depth of the Japanese language and the fun of words in a casual way.
These two are just the beginning. Renka-dō plans to continue releasing apps in the future with themes centered on Japan's traditional culture, Buddhist perspectives, and care for the heart.
Painting pictures and making apps. They may seem disconnected at first glance, but for me they are connected by the same single line. Both are born from a wish to be a little supportive of someone's "ease of living."
Thank you for your continued support going forward.
