When writing something on SNS, I've noticed that somewhere along the way, "being evaluated by someone" has become a prerequisite.
But I feel like the old internet used to have a bit more trivial content.
"I ate ○○ today"
"I'm bored"
"School was exhausting"
"I've been liking this song lately"
"My ideal type is ○○"
Information that wasn't useful at all, written by friends or strangers, and yet you'd find yourself reading it anyway.
I thought, could we recreate that atmosphere again?
What I'm particularly referencing is "Zenryaku Profile," which was popular in the 2000s.
Nickname, hobbies, ideal type, mobile phone you use, current obsession, what you want most right now.
Looking back, it was a lot of pretty trivial questions.
But by reading that trivial information, you could see

That's what I want Manati to be.
I'm very conscious of Zenryaku Profile, but I don't want to simply recreate it.
For those who know Zenryaku Profile, I want them to think,
"How nostalgic."
On the other hand, for those who don't know it, I want them to think,
"Creating a profile through Q&A is fun."
That's the kind of service I want to create.
For current students, rather than Zenryaku Profile,
"Reiwa-era Profile Book"
might be closer to how they'd perceive it.
Even if the entry point differs by generation, I'm aiming for a service that ultimately connects to "learning about people is interesting."
Manati is still in its early stages.
It's not a finished product—I'm changing it quite frequently based on user reactions.

面白い投稿。
綺麗な写真。
伸びる投稿。
フォロワーを増やすための発信。
SNSで何かを書くときに、いつの間にか「誰かに評価されること」が前提になっている感覚があります。
でも昔のインターネットって、もう少しどうでもいいことを書いていた気がします。
「今日○○食べた」
「暇」
「学校疲れた」
「最近この曲好き」
「好きなタイプは○○」
そんな、役に立つわけでもない情報を友達や知らない誰かが書いていて、それをなぜか読んでしまう。
その空気感をもう一度作れないかな、と思ったのが始まりです。
特に参考にしているのが、2000年代に流行した「前略プロフィール」です。
HN、趣味、好きなタイプ、使っている携帯電話、マイブーム、今一番欲しいもの。
今考えると、かなりどうでもいい質問ばかりです。
でも、そのどうでもいい情報を読むことで、
「この人、こんなこと考えてるんだ」
という人間らしさが見えました。
プロフィールを埋めること自体がコンテンツになっていて、人のプロフィールを上から下まで読むこと自体も楽しかった。
今のSNSでは、プロフィールは名前と一言程度で、その人のことを知るには投稿を遡る必要があります。
そこでマナティでは、プロフィールそのものをコンテンツに戻したいと思っています。
現在は、主に以下のような機能を作っています。
特に一問一答プロフィールは、マナティの中心となる機能です。
「好きな食べ物」や「休日の過ごし方」のような一般的な質問から、その人らしさが出る質問まで、答えていくことでプロフィールが完成します。
誰かに自分をアピールするというより、
答えているうちに、その人らしさが勝手に滲み出るような体験を目指しています。
マナティのコンセプトとして置いている言葉が、
「役に立たない話をしよう。」
です。
インターネット上には、役に立つ情報が十分すぎるほどあります。
検索すれば大抵のことは分かるし、生成AIに聞けばかなりのことを教えてもらえます。
だから逆に、
今日あったどうでもいいこと。
最近食べて美味しかったもの。
なぜか気になっていること。
人にわざわざ話すほどでもないこと。
そういうものの価値が相対的に上がるんじゃないかと思っています。
情報ではなく、人を見に行く場所。
マナティはそんなSNSにしたいです。
前略プロフィールをかなり意識していますが、単純な復刻版を作りたいわけではありません。
前略プロフィールを知っている世代には、
「懐かしい」
と思ってもらえる。
一方で、知らない世代には、
「一問一答で自分のプロフィールを作るの面白い」
と思ってもらえる。
そんなサービスにしたいと思っています。
現役の学生にとっては、前略プロフィールよりも、
「令和のプロフィール帳」
くらいの感覚の方が近いかもしれません。
世代によって入口は違っても、最終的には「人のことを知るのって面白い」というところにつながるサービスを目指しています。
マナティはまだ立ち上げたばかりです。
完成したプロダクトではなく、ユーザーの反応を見ながらかなり頻繁に変えています。
例えば、
「Googleログインだけだと登録のハードルが高い」
「プロフィールをもっと自由に着せ替えたい」
「友達に共有したくなる機能が欲しい」
など、実際に触ってもらう中で出た意見をもとに改善しています。
この段階だからこそ、
「こんな機能あったら面白い」
というアイデアをすぐ試せるのが個人開発の面白さだと思っています。
今後は、

特に、誰か1人が登録して終わりではなく、
