I've released a tarot divination app called 'Hoshimichibiki (Star's Guidance)' that gently accompanies you through life's uncertainties and helps you understand your current situation.

The app employs a "Hexagram Spread" that draws 6 cards from 44 variations—the 22 major arcana tarot cards in both upright and reversed positions. With combinations reaching approximately 4.4 billion, the AI weaves different words each time, tailored to your circumstances.
When developing this app, the first thing I poured my energy into was "prompt (instruction text) adjustment." As I began refining the language to achieve the ideal tone, I found myself wrestling with an AI that turned out to be an unexpectedly prolific "poet."
- Initially, I implemented it using Gemini API's free tier, but the free tier limits kicked in quickly, so I switched to Groq. Personally, compared to when I was building with Gemini, I had a bit more difficulty fine-tuning Japanese expressions.
Rather than simply outputting divination results, I wanted the AI to deeply reach users' hearts and be easy to relate to, so I incorporated flower elements into the tarot cards. The key was getting the AI to grasp this aspect.
In pursuit of the ideal nuance, I repeatedly sparred with ChatGPT and Gemini, asking things like "Isn't this too poetic??" "This feels a bit stiff" "Isn't this coming across as preachy???" and refined the logic through continuous dialogue.
Through this trial-and-error process, a unique personality emerged early on—one that produced such beautiful poetry.

To transform this "poet" talent into something more practical and understandable to humans, I worked hard on the following 12-stage adjustment:

タロットカードの大アルカナ22枚・正逆位置を含めた44種類から6枚を展開する「ヘキサグラムスプレッド」を採用。組み合わせは約44億通りにおよび、AIがあなたの状況に合わせて毎回異なる言葉を紡ぎます。
このアプリを開発するにあたり、私が最初に熱量を注いだのが「プロンプト（指示文）の調整」です。いざ理想のトーンを目指して言葉を磨き始めたところ、中のAIが想像を絶する「ポエマー」で格闘しました。。
- 最初、GeminiAPIの無料枠で実装していましたが、無料枠の制限がすぐかかり、Groqへ変更。個人的にはGeminiで作っていた時と比べて、日本語表現のチューニングに少し苦労しました。
ただ占い結果を出すだけでなく、ユーザーの心に深く届き、親しみを持ちやすいようにタロットカードに花の要素を入れたりしているので、そこの部分を汲み取ってもらうこと。
理想のニュアンスを追求するため、ChatGPTやGeminiを相手に「もっとポエムすぎん？？」「これだと少し硬い」「説教ぽくなっているな？？？」と何度も壁打ちを繰り返し、対話を重ねてロジックを磨き上げました。
その試行錯誤の過程で、初期の段階から早くもこんな美しいポエムを吐き出す個性が爆誕したのです。

ポエムすぎて「結局どういう意味なんだ……？」となりました🙂
このポエマーとしての才能を、より実用的な、人間にも理解できるような言語にするべく、下記１２段階の調整を頑張りました！
AIの力を借りれば、個人でもアプリ開発に挑戦しやすい時代になったと感じています。
そっと誰かの隣に寄り添えるような、そっと背中を押してあげれるような、そんな思想でこのアプリを作りました！
