I thought that the longer you use a household account book, the more it should adapt to suit you.

Right after you start using a household account book, any app is reasonably convenient. But when records accumulate over months and years, I felt it was a bit wasteful that the history simply remained as a long list. That's why I created "Flower," a household account book app for iPhone. Flower learns from the records you've left on your device and gradually suggests your usual items, categories, payment sources, amounts, currencies, times, and locations. The more you use it, the more the input adapts to you, while your record data remains local-first. Candidate suggestions and receipt recognition are processed on the device, and Flower Plus's iCloud sync is optional. What I spent the most time on was the monthly review. Rather than simply arranging the same pie charts side by side each month, it returns the places you visited frequently, expenses you repeated, photos, moments of recording, and the rhythm of your spending as the context of that month. Monthly patterns born from familiarity, frequency, diversity, concentration, and stability take on different forms each month. You can also collect the imprints of cities where you recorded expenses while traveling and arrange them in card holders or document folios—a small mechanism to ensure the data doesn't end with just numbers. Places you've recorded, such as Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai, and Singapore, remain as memories. For the UI, from navigation and sheets to gestures, typography, whitespace, haptics, and motion, I prioritized what feels natural on iPhone. Rather than placing a web screen within the app, I aimed for a household account book that feels iOS-like from the very first interaction. Flower supports iOS 18 and later.
