Paint over and hide

A free tool that lets you redact unwanted parts of screenshots and images (personal information, sensitive data, faces, etc.) by simply dragging to select them and painting them black.

Unlike fake redaction that just overlays a black rectangle, this tool burns the pixels in the painted area directly into a new image and exports it. Since the original pixel information is not included in the output image, there's no risk of accidents where layers are peeled back and the image is restored. Exif information such as location data is also removed when exporting.
