Corko — Take a photo of a wine label to find out its origin

At the wine section, even after reading the back label, I still don't know which one to buy. The variety and region names are written there. But it doesn't explain what kind of taste that leads to.

When you take a photo of a label with Corko, it tells you what kind of land that wine comes from. What kind of soil it grew in, what kind of climate, and therefore what kind of taste it has, and what food pairs well with it.

For Chablis, it shows that it comes from limestone soil mixed with fossil shells. That's why it pairs well with oysters. Once you understand the reason, when you see an unfamiliar brand at a different store, you can guess the taste just from the region name.

How to use it

Point your camera at the label at the store. That's it. You don't need an account, and you don't need to install an app. Just open it in your browser.

Sometimes it doesn't work. In that case, you can search by name.
